29.11 Modules 23–24: Design, Reports and Dashboards
- Redesign one of your pages using the layout in Figure 23.1 and apply a custom theme JSON.
- Set a custom canvas background image designed in PowerPoint.
- Add alt text to every visual on one page and set the tab order.
- Publish and create a dashboard with pinned visuals, a live page tile, a Q&A tile and a text tile.
- Set an alert on a card tile and edit tile details with a custom link.
- Create a mobile layout for the Executive page and for the dashboard.
- Explain to a colleague the difference between a report and a dashboard in 5 points.

Friends, many students skip the design exercises because they "aren't technical". Design is what users see first. Sketch the layout on paper before building, and ask someone else whether they can find the key number in ten seconds. Don't make this mistake!
